THE YOUNG CHOIR
THE COMPOSITION AND ITS OPERATION

The Young Choir is made up of 10 to 15 boys and girls between the ages of 16 and 22. This course corresponds to the third cycle of master's education. This cycle is adapted to the school time of the pupils and students and to its requirements: the courses are few and the participations in the concert are chosen according to the time and the possibilities of the studies of the courses of each one.

The rehearsals of the Young Choir take place every week at the rate of two sessions:

· an individual vocal technique session to deepen the singer's journey

· a choral singing session in a small ensemble around a chamber or oratorio repertoire

During their schooling at the Young Choir, the singers follow a complete training which is in the continuity of the objectives of the children's choir and which constitutes a deepening of it.

The objectives of the cycle are:

- collective practice (group and choir music),

- individual, vocal and solfegic work.

The Young Choir has found a mode of operation specific to its specificity and its form, linking both the very different schedules of each high school student and student to musical training at the Master's degree.
